Certification to ISO 50.001

The regulation ISO 50.001 published in June 2011 and in force as of May 2012 deals with the continuous improvement of the energy related performance of the organization’s score. The standard specifies the requirements for an organization to establish, implement, maintain and improve an energy management system. This systematic approach is based on the provision ISO 9001. An organization should be able to improve its energy-related services, to increase its energy efficiency and to optimize its use of energy.

In accordance with the ultimate EEG amendment (Renewable Energy Law) the implementation of an energy management system is the prerequisite for reducing the EEG allocation in compliance with §40. As of 2013, such an energy management system is mandatory for the partial refund of the tax rate for manufacturing industries (electricity tax law as well as energy tax law). We have immediately responded to these changes. In November 2011, our soft- and hardware solutions have been certified by TÜV Rheinland with regard to its usage in accordance with ISO 50.001. Since then, we are one of the few market players that have been continuously certified. Our latest certification has been carried out by TÜV Rheinland in 2019. We are pleased to provide you with our know-how and to assist your organization in implementing an energy management system according to ISO 50.001. We can also advise you regarding the certification to ISO 14.001 or EMAS (environmental management and audit scheme).
